The 150 site Marion Mobile Home Village is located at 2004 Village Lane in Marion, Illinois. Marion is located in Williamson County near the southern tip of Illinois. The city was nicknamed “The Hub of the Universe” by its longtime mayor, due to its location providing access to nearby cities Nashville, St. Louis, Louisville, Indianapolis and Chicago. The city is located at the crossroads of Illinois Route 13 and Interstate 57, with access to Interstate 24 immediately to the south. Marion is home to more than 17,000 residents and Williamson County has 67,000 residents. One of the largest employers in the area is Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. The university has an enrollment of approximately 14,500 students and an academic staff of approximately 1,000. Marion is also home to a 1.1-million square foot distribution center, which is home to Aisin, an auto manufacturer with approximately 800 workers in the area. Pepsi, Heartland Regional Medical Center and the VA Medical Center each feature approximately 600 employees. The Illinois Star Centre Mall closed in late-2018, although the Dillard’s and Target stores will remain open. The mall’s closure had been speculated for several years, as there have been several legal obstacles to overcome. Marion is also home to Walmart, Menards, as well as big-box retailers such as Home Depot and Sam’s Club
